Senator Keiser Outreach

Here’s what Senator Keiser has been working on:
 
1)      Conference call on June 24th conducted with Senate Democratic Caucus members about current reform efforts, Washington’s role in the that effort, and comments to be forwarded to the federal level working group.
2)      Attending a June 30th briefing, panel discussion and public forum on federal health care reform efforts.  Senator Cantwell is sponsor of the forum and will highlight legislation she has submitted.   Senator Keiser  will be a panel member, Governor Gregoire will attend.
3)      Attending a Junes 30th evening forum by Washington Public Campaigns concerning health care reform.  This is one of several forums being held around the state and attendance has been 150 and up.  The Senator will be a panel member.
4)      June 30th AM conference call with the Healthy Washington Coalition Steering Committee and selected members.  Healthy Washington is the largest health care reform coalition in the state encompassing labor unions, business organizations, public interest groups, health care providers, hospitals and consumer groups.
5)      July 6th Federal Health Care Reform Electronic Town Hall-Local media, bloggers, etc., will be advised of the event for a discussion on what is going on at the federal level, how it can impact Washington, what states will be doing to work with the federal government.
6)      An E-newsletter went out to constituents of the 33rd District covering the Senator’s recent trips to Washington and a discussion of the upcoming process.
